There is no obligation to buy, and later evening appointments are offered on Fridays and Saturdays.

A Diamond Consulate consultation is a private, appointment-only conversation built around the decisions that matter for your piece: diamonds, proportions, setting details, budget, timeline and how the jewelry will actually be worn.
Share anything that helps us prepare: preferred diamond shape, inspiration photos, an approximate budget, a proposal date or event date, and whether you are considering a natural or lab-grown diamond. If you are unsure, that is completely fine. The appointment is designed to help you narrow the options.
Your consultant will guide the conversation rather than hand you a case of nearly identical choices. For engagement rings, that can include comparing loose diamonds, exploring setting styles, discussing wedding-band fit and deciding whether a custom design makes sense.
Natural and lab-grown diamonds can be viewed side by side so you can compare shape, cut, proportions, visual presence and price with the grading report in context. The goal is to understand what you can actually see and which specifications matter for your priorities.
When a custom design is appropriate, Diamond Consulate uses a Live Collaborative CAD Design process to refine proportions and setting details before production. The studio's custom design standards were developed under the direction of master jeweler Chris Uptain and are carried out by Diamond Consulate's trained design team.
Wedding-band fit is best considered before an engagement ring is finalized. During the design process, we can discuss whether you want a flush fit, a contoured band or a more intentional gap so the two rings are planned as a set rather than treated as separate purchases.
Bring inspiration images, an existing ring if sizing or style is helpful, and any diamond or heirloom jewelry you want us to evaluate for possible use. You do not need to arrive knowing the 4Cs, a setting name or exactly what you want.
You should leave with a clear sense of the direction, the important tradeoffs, expected pricing and the next step. If you are not ready to proceed, there is no obligation to make a decision during the appointment.
