Minimum Qualifications

The experience requirement is intentional.

Minimum three years of professional fine jewelry experience
Hands-on experience with bridal and engagement rings
Custom jewelry or jewelry design consultation experience
Working knowledge of diamonds and gemstones
Wedding band and bridal styling experience
Confidence managing high-touch, relationship-based client consultations

What We Are Not Hiring For

This is not an entry-level retail role.

General luxury retail experience alone does not replace the required fine jewelry background. Our clients meet with experienced professionals who can discuss design, proportion, diamonds, bridal, custom work, and the practical considerations behind a piece of jewelry.

Candidates without at least three years of relevant professional fine jewelry experience will not be considered for Senior Jewelry Designer or comparable client-facing design positions.

What The Role Involves

More consultation than counter sales.

Private Appointments

Guide meaningful purchases

Conduct private consultations and help clients make informed decisions about engagement rings, wedding bands, diamonds, gemstones, and custom jewelry.

Custom Design

Translate ideas into jewelry

Help clients develop custom projects from inspiration through design direction, approvals, production coordination, and final delivery.

Relationships

Think beyond one transaction

Build long-term client relationships that lead to milestone purchases, repeat business, and referrals through expertise and exceptional service.

Luxury Fine Jewelry Sales Consultant
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

This full-time, mid-senior-level role is part of Diamond Consulate's founding Oklahoma City team. It combines private luxury consultations, bridal, diamonds, custom jewelry design, project management, and long-term client relationships.

Experience

3+ years required

Professional fine jewelry experience is required. This is not an entry-level jewelry sales position.

Specialties

Bridal + custom

Strong candidates understand engagement rings, wedding bands, diamonds, custom jewelry, design consultations, and luxury client service.

Credentials

Industry education valued

GIA, AJP, Graduate Gemologist coursework, CAD/custom design experience, or comparable jewelry-industry education is highly valued.

Who We Hire

Experienced jewelry professionals first.

Our consultants guide clients through engagement rings, wedding bands, diamonds, custom jewelry, and meaningful design decisions. That requires real jewelry experience, not simply general retail or luxury sales experience.

For Senior Jewelry Designer and client-facing design roles, a minimum of three years of professional fine jewelry experience is required.
